STUDIO
the second distination of the day was JAMES CASEBERES studio in Brooklyn, NYC who was willing to let us wonder around his studio, show us his work and talk about his career. Caseberge's combines mediums of photography and sculpture to create scenes domestic settings. Then man himself was incredibly nice and welcoming seeing as he just let a bunch of students from the street into his studio! He makes models of spaces and architecture much like Thomas Demand however lets like and other natural resources become part of his image. for example below you can see the involvement of water in interiors he was made, what i love the most is the reflections of the ripples on the walls creating a stunning atompshere. i also like the haze of the tunnels as this also adds to the ideas of abandonment and secrecy!
